App "Stay Safe - Safety Radar" · version of 4 October 2026

In short: the risk level is a statistic about recent reported crime in an area, not a prediction and not a guarantee about any specific place, time or person. It does not replace your own judgement. Your purchase contract, where applicable, is with Apple or Google, not with us.

1. What this app is

Stay Safe shows a color-coded crime-risk level for the area you're currently in, built from public police data for each covered area (a city or a county). It runs alongside a separate map or navigation app — it does not provide directions and is not a replacement for one.

2. What it is not

3. Accuracy and currency

Risk levels are built from each area's own public police data, refreshed periodically on our side and picked up by the app — not in real time. Reporting practices, data availability and update cadence differ between cities and between police forces, and a gap between an event and its appearance in official data is normal. A city or area not yet covered by the app is shown honestly as "no data," never as a false "safe" reading. Please report anything you believe to be wrong to adrinasoftware@gmail.com.

4. Your licence

Using the app gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use it on your own devices under the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, extract, republish, or redistribute the app's risk data in whole or in part, or use it to train or evaluate a machine-learning system.

5. Purchases

Stay Safe is a paid app: one payment, no advertising, no subscription and no in-app purchases. Your purchase contract is with Apple or with Google, under their terms, and refunds are handled by them.

5a. Downloading area data

An area's risk data is downloaded from our website the first time you are in that area, and then kept on your device. That needs a working connection at that moment; afterwards the area works offline. We aim to keep the data available for as long as the app is sold, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of a web service, and a connection problem on your side is outside our control.

6. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may reasonably rely, and then only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Any liability beyond that — including for decisions made in reliance on a risk level shown by the app — is excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right you have under consumer-protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under United States or United Kingdom law where it applies to you.

7. Trade marks

Google Maps is a trade mark of Google LLC, referenced here only to describe how this app is meant to be used alongside it. No affiliation with Google Maps, or with any police department or government agency named or implied by the app's coverage, is claimed.

8. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are habitually resident.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated for future versions of the app. The date at the top says which version applies.
